Trifecta covers all of your daily skincare needs. If you are not already usging a Retinol regularly, the Trifecta is perfect as a stand alone trio.
While there won't be any need for another product, you can continue using an additional Retinol if you'd like to. You would simply apply any additional products after your Trifecta routine. Trifecta is meant to be used as a complete skincare system, so after you finish all three steps, you would apply your additional Retinol or Tretinoin afterwards as a supplement to the Retinol in Illuminate. If you have any moisturizing products, those would be applied as the final step (unless applying SPF in the morning).
Remember that individual responses to Retinol can vary, and it's essential to listen to your skin. If you have any concerns or experience persistent irritation, consult with your dermatologist for personalized advice.
